Trenary, Michigan - Outhouse Races

Snap 180 was contracted by Relay house this weekend to cover the 2010 Outhouse Races in Trenary Michigan. Chris Hibben owner of Snap 180 tried something new this time with the uplink. After editing the interviews and b-roll we went right from the timeline up to the satelite. By doing this we save a generation in quality and also speed up the time of the re-feed by just copying the edited content and pasting it at the end of the timeline. This eliminates the need to rewind the tape to re-feed and adds a minute more to the sat time for uplinking content.

They race outhouses on the Main Street of their little town on the last Saturday in February. The outhouses are mounted on skis and must have a toilet seat and roll of tp inside. This little town of 300 swells to 3500 spectators during this unusual wacky event! Trenary is located smack dab in the middle of the Upper Peninsula.
